TJMS was the SCHOOL CHAMPION of the New7Wonders of the World campaign in 2007! Students worked on a quilt project and spread the word about the New7Wonders throughout the community to drive votes.
Thomas Jefferson Middle School students have created a 7 Wonders quilt that has been donated to a local charity for auction that summer. Through work inspired by New7Wonders, the students have explored the exponential powers of email along with the democratic process, five themes of geography, mathematical measure, art, architecture, and many other topics. In addition to viewing the lovely images of the project the student's work was featured in the local paper. The article also served to spread the word about School Champion voting!
